The first day we were in Tenerife Dave demonstrated his knowledge of Spanish. This was the first time the kids had really seen it. We are at a restaurant and Dave talks to the waiter for a while. After the waiter leaves, Dave and Enoch have the following conversation:
E: Daddy, were you speaking Spanish?
D: Yes, I was.
E: Then why did you say those funny words?
By the end of the trip Enoch was making up words and calling them Spanish, very cute.

I love that little guy!
Hazel does that too, from Dora's influence and having a spanish-speaking preschool teacher (they do the calendar and counting and stuff in spanish.) So Hazel either makes up words or says English words she doesn't know the meaning of and says they're Spanish for ______. Can't wait to get those two together so they can speak Spanish together!
Good thing we have Dave - resident interpreter of Spanish as well as Enoch speak.
