Cabin Fever

We have all caught a bad case of cabin fever, especially the kids. The small space doesn't leave a lot of room to play, so we often find the kids at the door, like in the picture left, begging to go out for a walk or go exploring, etc.

Last night we walked to a nearby Curry House for dinner (behind Hilde in the picture on the right). Jinnah was divine. There were water fountains and fun lights and a very nice atmosphere. Hilde had chicken fingers and fries, but tried a fair amount of our food, and Enoch ate a little bit of everything. Dave and I had the buffet and I really enjoyed everything we ate. For dessert we had some sweet Naan, delish. We both decided this will be a favorite take-out place on those nights we can't stand to be in the kitchen.

Enoch isn't in daycare until next week so he has to tag along with a parent everyday. Our typical day includes running around checking in to a million different offices, opening bank accounts, looking at houses, filling out paperwork, repeat. Not exactly fun for a 2 year old. For the most part he has been a trooper, but it is starting to really get to him. This morning he begged me to leave him with Hilde in her class at daycare. After three days of non-stop errands, he finally got a treat, two trips to the playground today. It was freezing cold and the wind was blowing pretty strongly, but he loved every minute of it.

I bet Hilde was a little jealous when she found out! Make sure you keep recording everything- when you get back, you can get your blog published. My friend published hers and it looks like a 400 page all color yearbook- it's really cool! And, then you don't have to scrapbook!

Okay, so I am a little jealous that we have had our blogs for about 10 months and Christina never commented on mine, but oh well. How is the house hunting going? I am sure once they are not so crammed in the flat and Enoch is at daycare it will make everyone a little happier, too bad that could not be tomorrow. I helped mom so she can comment, now lets see if she will!

Part of the reason I decided to do this blog was to avoid scrapbooking etc. Kari, you'll have to tell me your lessons learned when I actually want to publish it. Daycare had a slot today so Enoch went and LOVED it, even more than usual. He really needed all the activity and new friends.

That's so funny the kiddos wait at the door like 'let me out!' I love the translations there. What a wonderful experience!
