We vetoed almost all extra curricular activities the last month we were in England. It was just too hectic to try and find a ride, fit in extra play dates, etc. There was one thing we let Hilde do though, go to the birthday party of one of her best friends. Here they are at the famous Brooklyn's bowling alley. Being the grown up almost 8 year old she was, she didn't want her mom staying and embarrassing her. I took a few pictures and left, then came back just in time to watch Hilde trying to hit the pinata. She is one competitive girl, I wonder where she gets it from? The pinata was pretty much indestructible, after about 20 minutes of almost no progress opening it, they let the birthday girl take off the mask and go to town with the "bat". Even then the adults had to help a little.
