When Dave's maternal grandparents passed away several years ago, they had a whole bunch of timeshares. We offered to take one of the weeks. I wouldn't buy a timeshare, but obtaining one without all the purchase costs is pretty nice. The one we got is the same one we used for our honeymoon back in 2000. Wow, 12 years later makes a whole lot of difference. While we were overseas we only used one of our 3 weeks, a weeklong trip to the Canary Islands, and saved the other two. This set us up for the perfect summer vacation this year, a week at Massanutten for us AND THE COUSINS. You are only going to get a very small feeling of how awesome this was. The kids loved it, the parents loved it, the food was great, the company was great, everything was FANTASTIC. The evening we got there was spent exploring our rooms and having the mandatory huge bathtub party.
