Spring Break Winter Style

This year Mother Nature decided to throw us a curve ball.  Spring break became winter break.  On Monday it actually snowed.  The rest of the week was cold, blustery and pretty miserable.  It didn't stop us from going outside entirely, but it definitely cramped my style.  Luckily, daddy surprised us with a huge cardboard pirate ship that the kids spent hours coloring and decorating.  There was also a surprise shipment of fake mustaches and eyepatches.  The boys were over the moon.

Our outdoor excursions were taken very bundled up.  You could hardly see Freya most of the time.  She is in there, deep in there.

To keep warm we decided to play tennis one day at the park.  Doesn't Hilde look like the next Maria Sharapova?  Enoch is our tennis lover though, he could play for hours if he could find a willing partner.

For Phineas we took a trip to Frying Pan Park to see the animals, especially the horses.  Some good friends of ours went with us and it was so frigid that we couldn't stay long.  Just long enough to walk around and see some of the animals, let Phinn milk a cow, and be completely frozen.  I really hope that next year we get better weather!
