I need your help. I need some good books to read. I want the books to be sourced by our small local library, I am trying to be more "green" these days. So, what have you read that you would A) recommend and B) find at your local library?
Hey Shells - I just read a book for my book club that reminded me of you. I had meant to recommend it in case you hadn't read it. It is called "All Creatures Great and Small" by a small Yorkshire veterinarian named James Herriot. It is a funny, cute autobiography and perfect for reading while in England. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.
I am reading Stephanie Meyer' "The Host" right now. I am not all that thrilled about it. It is good, but not addictive. Does that make sense? Good luck!
I just finished reading "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns," by the same author, but off the top of my head I cannot spell his name. They were both very good, about life in Afghanistan and although emotionally tough to read at time I recommend both of them. They are not sequels to each other, but both related to war and suffering so you can read either one first. "A Thousand Splendid Suns" is about women so a little more personal being a girl, and "The Kite Runner" follows the story of a man.
I did read Kite Runner and thought is was very interesting since it was culturally different. I might like the woman perspective book even better, so I'll check it out.
One of the best books I've read recently is called The Sway by Ori Brafman. It's non-fiction, a business/psychology book. Easy read and it has some good HR hints in there too. You'd love it Shells!

That sounds perfect.

Thanks Goose, I will definitely check that one out.
Have a look at "The Ghost Map." I just did a blog on it.
