Kid Update

Quick kid update. These days Enoch starts most sentences off with either "I guess I'll...." or "Can I go there/do that someday?" He says these in a very serious voice. Here are some examples:

I guess I'll.... play the guitar someday
I guess I'll.... play Rock and Roll on my guitar someday
I guess I'll.... have cake for dessert tonight (what, I didn't even make cake!)
I guess I'll.... be a dinosaur when I grow up

Flipping through a magazine he will point and every picture and say "can I go there" or "can I do that" someday? I promise him we'll go to all those places, much to Dave's chagrin, but hey, I want to go there too!

Hilde's big news.........she has a LOOSE tooth..... She is so excited she can hardly stand it and is always wiggling it with her tongue or finger. Can she really be that big already???

That is adorable. When Thompson was that age he wanted to be a tulip when he grew up. Playing rock and roll on his guitar - well, I guess he will!

Fun for Hilde! We found a great book at the library about what kids in all different countries do when their teeth get loose and fall out. Here's the link to it on Amazon, it was called Throw Your Tooth on the Roof. Charming!

Today, I was watching Bear Grylls: Born Survivor - the Serengeti episode, and Enoch was watching with me. I explained that he was looking for lions and zebras and such. Naturally, E's reply was:

Can I go looking for lions sometime?

So I assured him that yes, someday when he's older, if he wants to, he can hunt for lions in Kenya.

You do have the cutest kids...
I saw that you guys watched Get Smart- what did you think of it? We want to see it, unfortunately that is our kind of humor! We thought The Pink Panther with Steve Martin was the funniest movie of all time- what can we say, we laugh at stupid things!

Get Smart was ok. We were hoping it would have been a little better, but it was still fun.

Also, I heart the Rock.

I used to want to be a fire engine when I grew up. Unfortunately, that field turned out to be too hyper-competitive for me. Better luck on the dinosaur front, E.
