Enoch is trying to perfect the art of going to be without really going to bed. Tonight is a good example. But first, we'll start with bathtime and a song he was singing in the tub:
"I remember Jesus Christ. I love my family. My dad had a tape measure. It was in America. But he doesn't have it in England. I remember Jesus Christ. I love my family."
OK - cute, clean boy puts on super cute stripy dinosaur pjs, brushes teeth, flosses teeth and "goes to bed".
Two minutes later - "Mommy I need something to tell you. Hmm. Ahh. Long Pause. Can you take my glass and put it back in the bathroom?"
Two minutes later - "Mommy, I have something else I really need to tell you. Hmm. Ahh. (Look around the room for any topic of conversation - don't see anything - resort to cuteness). I love Jesus."
Two minutes later - "Mommy, I need you to fix my blanket. (Which consists of moving the blanket two inches, if that).
Don't worry, I am sure he will keep going strong for another hour or so. Good thing he is so darn cute!

I love his song! Right now we have a child lock on Katie's door so she cannot get out (for that reason), but she gets into her bookshelf and reads books until after midnight so I guess they determine their sleep schedule no matter what. I love how Dave only had a tape measure in America though!
So, I guess Enoch is disturbed that Dave doesn't have his tape measure? That is so incredibly cute! I'll be glad when Audra can make up cute songs like that...(oh, but I won't enjoy the 'I refuse to sleep' attitude!).
For the record, I have no less than 3 tape measures here, and he's seen me and helped me use them.
Love the song! The bedtime rigamarole is all too familiar - but yes - cute!
Ashley does the same thing. Excuse after excuse. It makes me sad to know that she won't be this little to want mommy to keep tucking her in, but after 30 minutes the cuteness wears off.
I HATE it when they resort to cuteness! He and Ginger must be related.
