Cruise - Day 2

Day 2 on the ship was spent at Sea. We only had one other day at Sea and that came the last day. We spent the day exploring our new home, finding out what food was where, and letting the kids try out the kids clubs and nursery. I cannot say enough for how well our kids were treated, and how much they loved the cruise. They would beg us to let them play in the kids clubs - and when we would go to pick them up they would beg to stay longer. It was awesome. And Phinn was the star of the nursery. The workers loved to have him there because he is a super happy kid and he is used to daycare, so he wasn't fussy. Other kids were being left for the first time in their lives, and they were not OK with that, so Phinn was like a breath of fresh air to the workers. And he loved all the freedom there after being couped up in his stroller, the cabin, or the highchair.

In the morning we had the character breakfast and our table was visited by many Disney personages. The interesting thing was how many my kids didn't know. They didn't recognize Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, etc. They knew Mickey and Minnie from some old cartoons we have featuring them, but many others were new to them. Except, of course, for the princesses - which Hilde knew well.

After breakfast we dropped all the kids off to their respective places and I headed up to the Spa for a Hot Stone massage. An hour and a half later I headed back to our stateroom in such a state of sublime happiness that I paid more and tipped better than I was prepared to admit to Dave. Luckily, it was our anniversary so I could count it as a present to myself. That afternoon we all went to see Up in 3D. We were into our second preview when a baby on screen started to cry and Phinn got severely traumatized. So he and I went back to the room and let the rest of the audience enjoy Up in peace.

It was formal dinner, so we all got dressed up in our best. Everyone looked fabulous and dinner was very nice. After dinner we dropped the kids off again and enjoyed our anniversary looking over the Mediterranean, it was fantastic. Time to start planning for next years anniversary....
