On August 13th Hilde turned 9. She has the last birthday of the summer set and it is hard for her. She starts to plan as soon as my birthday kicks off the season and waits and waits and waits. By the time her birthday comes she has changed her plans several times. This year she asked me to make her popcorn balls instead of a cake, and it was a lot of fun. And her daddy surprised her with what might have been the best present ever, a Kindle. In all honesty, it will save us doctors bills in the future with her lugging around 10-12 books everywhere she goes! She was ecstatic, as you can see from the pics. And to top it all off, she actually lost a tooth while she was opening up birthday presents so the tooth fairy came too!
