Back to school night at the elementary school was broken into two nights with the younger grades one night and the older grades the next. Dave and I decided that we each wanted a chance to attend so Dave went to Enoch's class and I went to Hilde's. Enoch was super excited. He kept telling Dave that there was a surprise for him. Each of the kids was assigned a number at the beginning of the year, and he kept telling Dave that there was no way he was going to tell him the number or else it would ruin the surprise. We didn't tell him that since the numbers are assigned alphabetically it wouldn't be hard to guess which was his! Here is the surprise Dave found a self portrait of Enoch with a list of his information. I'll translate it below:

I love this little snapshot in time. If he filled this same list out today it would look pretty different. I still don't know where his love of baseball comes from, we never watch or play it. However, he keeps asking when we can sign him up, so I guess we'll give it a whirl. We keep getting after him for wiping his mouth on his sleeve, I can see we are really making inroads there...
