The first part of the summer was crammed with pool time, so we took a break for the first part of August. But then we realized that the pool was going to close in a few weeks! So we added some pool time into our Summer Fun Clubs. These kids all love the water. Freya will happily jump into deep water completely convinced that she can swim. Let me tell you all, she cannot. I have to constantly keep my eye on her.
Phinn also thinks he can swim, and for being self taught, he can actually "swim" for a few yards. He does an amazing float though. He loves to do it and more than once another parent has started to freak out when they seem him floating face down, thinking the worst, and then he pops up all smiles and giggles. He also scares the other little kids who aren't as comfortable in the water. He goes all the way under, swims up to them and jumps up to surprise them. I have to keep reminding him to only do that to family...
And the best part of sunscreen and pool time is mohawk hair. LOVE it.
